Richard Shain Cohen

Above: Richard Shain Cohen, as the lecturer at the Maine Chapter of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers of which he was a member. The talk was based upon his novel, Be Still, My Soul, about World War II espionage in Palestine, Germany, the European and North African Theaters and the U.S. homefront. He spoke of the importance of intelligence in the winning of the war. The discussion then followed some history of Palestine during the 19th and 20th centuries and followed to the present and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Some of the material Cohen used came through contact with the Israeli government.
